Pittsburgh Public Safety officials are urging anyone planning to attend the city's Light Up Night festivities Saturday night, to take an alternate form of transportation.
Public Information Officer Cara Cruz says there will be numerous events taking place along Grant Street, Liberty Avenue, all the way down to Market Square, so parking will be very limited.
“There’s some parking on either sides of the bridges (North Shore and South Side) if you can manage to park and walk in,” said Cruz.
She adds that crowds are so large, “it’s best to make other plans.”
Uber, taxis and public transit are also encouraged.
Weather wise, it will be chilly but seasonable with temps in the mid-to-upper 30s.
The rain coming through the area Saturday should taper off by evening, just in time for the holiday celebration.
