It’s one of the strangest stories you’ll hear about when it comes to high school sports.
A school board member of one school is accused of leaking the football team’s playbook with their opponent.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette High School sports writer and KDKA Radio High School Football host Mike White reports West Mifflin school board member Mark Yuhas is accused of giving away the Titans offensive game plan to Elizabeth Forward’s coach.
Yuhas tells White he did attend the practice and it was “stupid” of him, but what he did was taken out of context.
Officials at West Mifflin are investigating to find out if Yuhas told the Warriors head coach John DeMarco that the Titans would be using the “Wildcat” while on offense.
Elizabeth Forward beat West Mifflin 42-21 on Friday during the Class 3A quarterfinal.
West Mifflin’s coach Rod Steele says that Yuhas gave the information to Elizabeth Forward because he doesn’t like him as coach and wants him gone.
Yuhas was a former assistant coach with Steele.
