UPDATE: One westbound lane has reopened to traffic.
Part of Interstate 70 in Washington County closed on Thursday afternoon after a fatal accident.
PennDOT says I-70 westbound, between Taylorstown (Exit 11) and Claysville (Exit 6) is closed due to the accident.
One person is dead after a vehicle crashed head-on with a tractor-trailer just before 1:30 p.m.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene after crossing over the median and crashing into the truck.
Reconstruction specialists are on the scene with the road expected to be closed for a few hours.
