A 60-year-old Westmoreland County man has been found guilty of repeatedly sexually assaulting a young girl.
Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli has announced Jerry Boring of Bolivar, PA has been convicted of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.
The victim told police Boring began assaulting her in 2017. That victim is now 16-years-old.
While the abuse started in 2017, she didn’t come forward until 2022 when she was getting care at healthcare facility.
The jury deliberated for about an hour Monday before coming to the guilty verdict.
Ziccarelli said in a statement, "I am pleased we were able to get justice for this young girl and her family as she continues to heal from this. I also want to thank Assistant District Attorney Katie Ranker and Trooper James McKenzie for investigating and prosecuting this case with the integrity it deserves."
Boring will be sentenced in the upcoming months.
