Chef Claudy Pierre is a Pittsburgh transplant from New York and Haiti who found himself a real home here in the Steel City.
He’s a beast in the culinary arts; starting his career as a chef for many well known establishments in the city. Even becoming an owner of Arnold’s Tea on the Northside. Of course, Arnolds is no longer but that hasn’t slowed Claudy down in any way.
He’s taken his life lessons and made them into community blessings for the underserved. Creating the E.A.T. Initiative that helps to serve many communities who need nourishment; particularly during this pandemic.
When COVID caused many businesses, mainly restaurants, to shut down, Claudy looked at it as an opportunity to start a free food distribution service to public school students and families.
He’ll talk more about that and so much more! Chef Claudy Pierre is extremely busy and I was lucky enough to get at least 8 minutes with him to catch up and find out what’s good in his neighborhood.
