A mother will do anything to protect her children. Ebtehal Badawi said her son was being bullied by a few teammates on his hockey team. She immediately wanted to do something about this but wasn't sure what she could do. She decided to use her love for art and begin the process of creating a peaceful protest against bullying by participating in a mural purposed to build bridges. The mural is called Pittsburgh Builds Bridges. Ebtehal invites anyone with a heart and passion for peace to pick up a brush and paint.
Her goal is to unite men, women, and children from the city and surrounding counties to paint a position of the mural and engage in healthy conversation about what our kids need right now.
With so much happening in our city that involves our children, although it's not the solution, it's absolutely necessary.
