Police say 44-year-old Angie Hindman attacked Michelle McHenry at the Brook Line & Sinker bar. McKenry is currently investigating Hindman's son in a separate case.

The Post-Gazette says a criminal complaint explains that Hindman "punched and strangled Detective McHenry . . . shouting, ""You're not going to come after my son, you're not going to say [expletive] about my son, he didn't do nothing."

McHenry was then dragged outside while Hindman continued to punch and choke the off-duty officer yelling "my son didn't do nothing."

Hindman is charged with aggravated assault, strangulation and retaliation against witness or victim.

Hindman was also treated at a local hospital after McHenry bit her during the altercation before being transported to Allegheny County Jail.
