A woman died and a 10-year-old child was injured in a traffic accident Monday afternoon in Derry Township, Westmoreland County.
The Westmoreland County Coroner identified the woman as 49-year-old Regina Endress of Indiana County.
She was driving a Chevrolet Cruze north on Route 217 when the car was struck head on by another vehicle.
The passenger of the Cruze, a 10-year-old, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Right now, no word on the child's condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
