A woman flying to a Mexican resort left something at the airport Friday morning.

It was a disturbing incident. Allegheny County Police Inspector Ken Ruckel was a guest on the Big K Morning Show.

“We were called about a dog sitting abandoned inside a child’s stroller in the short-term parking garage,” said the inspector.

He says it was left there by a woman flying to a Mexican resort.

Inspector Ruckel says the woman did it after being told her French Bulldog would have to be crated, something that would cost $180.

Investigators were able to identify the woman through the dog's microchip.

Having her name and phone number, they tried calling a few times but she didn't answer.

Her dog is being cared for by Animal Friends and she will be charged with animal abandonment.
