I'm mad, angry, and sad. Tonya Todd reached out to me about the horrible conditions she's been living with for the last four years. There is raw sewage filling her basement and no one will help her. City leaders have known she's living this way, putting her health in serious danger, and done absolutely nothing to help.
Tonya joined me on the radio to describe what's going on:
Now take a look inside Tonya's home. It's unthinkable that she's been left to deal with this alone. Retired Pittsburgh Police officer Tony Moreno was the first to tell me about Tonya's situation. He sent me several videos of what he saw inside. Here are some images from that video:

Buried in the filth is her hot water tank that cannot stay lit due to the sewage that rises and falls and has to be pumped outside into the alleyway.
This is unacceptable. It just can't stand. She shouldn't have to live this way and even though city leaders have failed her and her neighbors, we will not. I have plumbers lined up, I have other public officials working on this. I'll also be out there to meet Tonya in person and see what she's dealing with firsthand.
Stay with me folks.
