A Greensburg mother has plead guilty but mentally ill after being accused of trying to kill her child with fentanyl.
Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli’s office announced that 32-year-old Skye Naggy made the plea Tuesday.
Baggy left behind letter saying that she needed fentanyl to “protect herself and the child, and claimed that she was gold by God that she was going to die soon,” The DA’s office said in a release.
Police found her and the child near Loyalhanna Lake in late 2022 by tracking her phone.
Naggy pleaded guilty by mentally ill to charges of attempted homicide, aiding suicide, aggravated assault, kidnapping and more.
The DA says Naggy will be sentenced in the next three months.
