Police are investigating after a woman was shot on Wednesday afternoon in Homewood South.
Pittsburgh Police say it happened just before 1 p.m. on the 7300 block of Formosa Way.
Officers on patrol heard the shots and found the female victim with a wound to the lower leg.
She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Witnesses tell police that a group of two or three people fled the scene on foot.
An investigation is underway.
