Passengers who prefer a woman behind the wheel of an Uber or Lyft ride now have that choice in Pittsburgh.
Piloted this summer by Uber, Women Drivers are an option when booking rides in Pittsburgh.
Uber says the feedback is that riders and drivers have more comfort and confidence on every trip.
Pittsburgh is one of the 26 city expansion of Women Preferences as of mid-November in the US.
The option is available on the Uber App.
You will see Women Drivers when reserving a ride in advance.
Uber drivers can select a Women Rider Preference and Lyft has Woman Connect option on their App.
The preference for women only drivers should be available nationwide soon according to Uber.
