The Woodland Hills school board held a grueling four-hour appeal hearing this week for ousted superintendent Joe Maluchnik.
Maluchnik faces charges of neglect of duty and gender discrimination, including claims of uncomfortable physical contact and pay disparities, with the former superintendent accused of giving raises to male administrators and not female.
While defense attorneys argued the allegations are a coordinated smear campaign, district witnesses testified to a hostile work environment.
Controversially, attendees and media were barred from filming the public hearing. The proceedings are scheduled to resume on June 3.
