In response to a shooting Friday night that forced the evacuation of Woodland Hills High School’s football stadium Woodland Hills Superintendent Daniel Castagna issued a letter to district parents and the community.

“While the incident did not take place on district property, the administrative staff feels strongly that this is a good time to revisit our safety procedures."

To get into games, students will need a ticket and student ID.

Students from districts that aren't playing won't be allowed in the stadium.

There's also a new policy allowing only clear bags.

Football games will start at 7 p.m., and no one will be allowed to enter after the first quarter.

Penn Hills officials announced Sunday that they were putting additional safety measures in place for home football games this season.

A man who had left the game between Woodland Hills and Penn Hills was shot in the leg.

He ran back to the stadium looking for help.

The shots fired led to a panic and students began to flee.

The game was called by officials.

The victim was treated and released from a nearby hospital.
