“Mr. President, welcome to Florida. We appreciate working together across various levels of government.”
“We have very different political philosophies, but we’ve worked hand-in-glove. In dealing with this crisis, we’ve been in complete lockstep.”
That’s what Florida’s governor and the President of the United States said as they were surveying the devastation in the Ft. Myers area.
What a refreshing change.
Mr. Biden used the word crisis to categorize the hurricane’s destruction.

Many people would agree crisis also define the pandemic, high inflation and a war in Ukraine that could escalate to the use of nuclear weapons.
So why can’t our leaders in Washington, Harrisburg and elsewhere drop the gloves and work together in difficult times on issues like these?
Mr. Biden and Mr. DeSantis just held a clinic on cooperation. It’s what leaders are supposed to do and we need more of them working together.
