Police say the West Virginia couple accused of robbing a bank in North Strabane last week drove the getaway car to Canonsburg and had a meal at Kentucky Fried Chicken about two miles away.
Brandon Scerri and Kayla Pruett of Wellsburg were charged Monday with several felony counts in connection with the robbery at First National Bank on Route 19.
The couple left the bank with almost $7,500.
Police used surveillance video and license plate readers to identify a blue sedan seen in the bank parking lot before the robbery.
A similar heist happened two days earlier at Washington Financial Bank in Washington City.
