“This is a level of respect that s*** for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her,” said entertainer Kid Rock in an X post over the weekend.

Videos included in the posting appeared to show Rock standing near an indoor-outdoor hillside pool, saluting an Apache helicopter. On the wall above the pool a sign read “The Southern White House.”

According to reports from multiple outlets, including POLITICO and CNBC, the U.S. Army is now investigating the incident. POLITICO said that it appears to show the attack helicopter flying low near Kid Rock’s residence in Nashville, Tenn.

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH‑64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” said Maj. Montrell Russell, a spokesperson for the Army, in a statement cited by POLTICIO and CNBC. “Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations.”

AH-64 Apache helicopters represent “the backbone of the U.S. Army’s attack helicopter fleet,” as described by Boeing.

Russell also said an administrative review ‘to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements,” has been initiated, POLITICO reported. He said the Army will take “appropriate action” if determines any violations took place, the spokesman said.

Kid Rock is the stage name of musician Robert Ritchie, a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump who recently headlined a right-wing event held during the record-breaking Super Bowl Half Time show. POLITICO noted that he has “clashed” with California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat who hasn’t declared intention to run for president in 2028 but often comes in at the top of potential candidates from his party in hypothetical polls, in the past.

Izzy Gardon, a spokesperson for California Gov. Gavin Newsom said: “Waste, fraud, abuse!” in response to Kid Rock’s recent statements, POLTICO said. It added that Kid Rock’s manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the video.
