A U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania is looking to defund a lab in China.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, which some believe to be the source of the COVID-19 virus that caused the global pandemic in 2020, is reportedly still being funded through the National Institutes of Health.

Scott Perry, Representative from Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional district, tells the NewsRadio KDKA morning show that the U.S. taxpayer is indeed funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which he believes may have been the source of the coronavirus pandemic.
And that's why Perry has introduced the Defunding the Wuhan Institute of Virology Act, which would ban funding for the lab.
Perry said the funding comes from the National Institutes of Health but is given to a company called EcoHealth, which in turn gives it to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Dr. Fauci has said the NIH does not fund gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute.
Perry told Larry and Kevin that the money is definitely coming from the U.S.
"Your tax dollars, they make one stop and they go right to a place where they're doing gain of function research," said Perry. "So we're paying the Communist Party of China, who calls the United States of America an enemy, to do this research and then we're surprised and we're dismayed when somehow out of China comes this new strain that creates a pandemic worldwide and we can't bring our selves to the discussion that maybe, possibly it comes from the only level four bio-agent laboratory in that country," said Perry. "Somehow we're surprised and we think that it comes from a wetmarket, again taking the Communist Party's word for it."
Perry went on to say "The World Health Organization who investigated whether it could have come from the laboratory or whether it occurred naturally, only had one American representative on it. And that American is named Peter Daszak. He is the President of EcoHealth.
"Now do you think that if Peter would have found out that it was created in the laboratory that your tax dollars were paying for and it was responsible for the thousands of deaths worldwide that he'd be willing to say 'oh, well we caused this. The American tax payers paid for it. Peter Daszak, Joe Biden and Doctor Fauci are literally whistling past the graveyard of thousands of American citizens whose families deserve an answer about how their tax dollars were used and yet he won't give it to us and neither will President Biden and they just want this to go away."
