CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — There was a stabbing at a River North hotel Thursday night but you may be surprised who was arrested for it.
The stabbing happened at the FOUND Hotel in the 600 block of North Wells Street. A woman said her fiance was trying to check in their group when the receptionist insisted the reservation they said they had didn't exist.
The woman said the receptionist and her fiance had words then began a physical fight. And then the hotel worker allegedly stabbed the fiance.
"He was screaming at them to get the eff out, he don't want to accommodate them and then he pulled out a knife from behind the front desk and stabbed the guy in the midst of them fighting," a witness told CBS 2.
The hotel worker stayed behind the reception desk until Chicago police arrested him.
