Defendant curses at no nonsense judge and it backfires

A man facing trespassing charges in Washtenaw County learned the hard way why you don't talk back to judges -- especially ones who have already gone viral on social media.

Washtenaw County Judge J. Cedric Simpson was holding a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday when a 45-year-old defendant had a meltdown that landed him behind bars for over a year.

Darrell Lester Jarrell became irate when Simpson offered to move a court date back so he could have more time to talk with his attorney.

"It's trespassing. I could technically leave, and you guys could issue a warrant and as long as I don't return, you can just kiss my ass," Jarrell said, per a video obtained by the New York Post.

Simpson appeared visibly angry. He started to respond, "No. No. No. I'm going to tell you what. You don't come up in here..." but was cut off by Jarrell.

"F**k you," he told the judge. "F**k you."

Not having any of it, Simpson told Jarrell he was in contempt of court and sentenced him to 93 days in jail. But that didn't stop Jarrell from continuing his outburst.

"F**k you, again," he said repeatedly -- each time Simpson responding with "That's another 93."

Jarrell kept running his mouth as a bailiff took him out of court in handcuffs.

"That's six 93s, consecutive," Simpson said, sentencing Jarrell to 558 days in jail.

Simpson previously went viral in May after a defendant attended a hearing for a suspended license while driving his wife to the doctor's office.
