According to CBS News, Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania will meet with President-elect Donald Trump.
CBS News reporter Christopher Cruise says that Fetterman will travel to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
It will be the first publicly known meeting between the soon-to-be president and a Democratic Senator since Election Day.
Senator Fetterman released the following statement:
I’m not just a Senator for Democrats—I’m a Senator for all Pennsylvanians. It’s my job to find common ground and deliver results for everybody. And because nobody is my gatekeeper, I will meet with anyone to secure some wins, including President Trump.
Fetterman also reposted a photo of himself and his wife Gisele after sitting down and meeting with his soon-to-be Senate partner, Republican Dave McCormick and his wife Dina.
Fetterman expressed PA is better when it’s Senators work together.
