Hailey Bieber is home after being hospitalized for a blood clot in her brain, the 25-year-old model announced Saturday on her Instagram story.

Stories on the social media app disappear after a set amount of time.

According to her story post, Bieber was having breakfast with her husband – well-known pop singer Justin Bieber – Thursday morning when she started experiencing “stroke-like symptoms,” and she was taken to the hospital.

“They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen — but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours,” she explained.

Even though she quickly recovered, Bieber said “this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through.”

By Saturday afternoon, she was at home and doing well.

“I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me,” she added.

“Can’t keep this one down,” said her husband in an Instagram post.

According to Elle, Justin, 28, recently recovered from COVID-19 and Hailey has not confirmed whether she also tested positive for the virus as of Saturday. TMZ reported that “sources close to Hailey,” thought the condition could be related to COVID-19.

Cases of COVID-19 continue to trend down in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The virus is known to cause long-lasting symptoms and complications for some who contract it, though blood clots are not on the CDC list of post-COVID conditions.
