After going viral following a less-than-desirable performance of the National Anthem at Major League Baseball’s 2024 Home Run Derby Monday night, Ingrid Andress is opening up as to why her performance was off in so many ways.

The 32-year-old posted to her Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon candidly telling fans she was drunk during her performance and plans to check into rehab to get help.

“I’m not gonna bulls**t y’all, I was drunk last night,” she wrote. “I’m checking into a facility today to get the help I need.”

She continued on to apologize for letting her fans, MLB and her country down by writing, “That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition.” She then signed off with some self deprecating humor. “I’ll let y’all know how rehab is, I hear it’s super fun. Xo, Ingrid.”

Ingrid’s performance spread like wildfire overnight after players and fans struggled to keep a straight face during her highly off-kilter performance. Several have compared it to Fergie’s highly criticized performance at the 2018 NBA All-Star game. See Ingrid’s performance below.
