A very insistent Eros, La., woman got her wish Saturday when she demanded to be taken into police custody.
Sharon Whatley, 50, was arrested in the parking lot of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Annex when she refused to leave the premises, insisting that she needed to turn herself in.
OPSO deputies found no outstanding warrants on file for Whatley and no reason to book her.
However, when she repeatedly refused to leave the parking lot despite multiple police commands, she was arrested on one count of criminal trespass, according to the Monroe Police Department.
Whatley was taken to the Ouachita Correctional Center.
