EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — An Evesham Township man is facing murder charges in the death of a man and his dog Saturday.

25-year-old Donovan Hollingsworth has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Evesham Township police were called to the Olympus Apartments on Baker Boulevard around 9:15 a.m. Saturday for a report of a possible dog attack on a resident.
Burlington County Prosecutors said when authorities arrived, they found 26-year-old Thomas Pierson III stabbed to death multiple times. Police also found a dog lying dead of multiple stab wounds in a stairwell, a King Corso named Django. They believe the dog belonged to Pierson. Prosecutors haven't ruled out additional charges in the dog's death.
Investigators say the two knew each other, and got into an altercation in Pierson's apartment, ending in Pierson and Django's deaths. Hollingsworth then went to Virtua Voorhees Hospital for medical attention, where he was apprehended by police shortly after noon.
Hollingsworth is in custody at the Burling County Jail. An autopsy is expected for Pierson on Monday.
