With the cause of death now known for former Friends star Matthew Perry, one of his ex-girlfriends believes his doctors should be placed under investigation over his sudden demise.

Perry’s death was attributed to “acute effects” of ketamine when the report was made public last week.

Kayti Edwards, who dated Perry in the mid-2000s, said Perry would have gotten ketamine from a doctor or nurse, in her opinion, because he would have been unlikely to purchase street drugs.

Edwards made the comments in an interview with The Sun.

She said ketamine treatments were a “stepping stone for him to go back to doing drugs.”

Prior to his death, Perry had been very public about his struggles with addiction and had even discussed how ketamine “was not for me” in his 2022 memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big, Terrible Thing,” which returned to #1 on the best-sellers list in the wake of his death.
