REVEALED: Kristi Noem's husband allegedly has secret life as a cross-dresser

How did Trump react?

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Testifies During House Judiciary Committee Hearing
WASHINGTON, DC - MARCH 04: Bryon Noem (R), husband of U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, looks on as she testifies during a House Judiciary Committee hearing in the Rayburn House Office Building on March 04, 2026 in Washington, DC. Noem is appearing before Congress for a second day as she faces questions on the department's handling of immigration enforcement and the effects of its partial shutdown.

It’s been an interesting month for outgoing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. At the start of March, President Donald Trump announced she would be out of her role at DHS. At the end of the month, a bombshell report claimed that her husband has a secret double life as a cross-dresser.

According to the Daily Mail exclusive report, Bryon Noem participated in the ‘bimbofication” fetish scene that is focused on adult performers achieving a “Barbie doll” like appearance with saline injections. It cited hundreds of messages, including some where he appears to be wearing a flesh-colored suit with balloons shoved inside to mimic large breasts with protruding nipples.

Bryon Noem’s face is fully visible in the photo, as well as several others, per the Daily Mail. When he traded selfies with one woman he told her “you turn me into a girl” and pledged to worship her like a “goddess.”

“Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time,” Noem’s representatives said, according to an exclusive article from The New York Post.

“They confirmed it? Wow, well, I feel badly for the family if that’s the case, that’s too bad,” said Trump in a phone call with the Daily Mail. He added that he doesn’t “know anything about it.”

Kristi and Bryon Noem have been married since 1992, according to the National Governors Association. While Kristi pursued a career in politics with the Republican Party – serving in the South Dakota congress and as the state’s governor before becoming head of the DHS – Byron made a “fortune in the insurance industry,” said the New York Post. The couple has three children, ranging in age from 23 to 31.

Previously, Kristi said in a 2022 interview with Elysian that her family was an “open book.” She even admitted, in her own book, to killing her dog because she didn’t like its temperament.

GLAAD has profiled Kristi as part of its Accountability Project cataloging anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and discriminatory actions. Based on the profile, she opposes marriage equality for same-sex couples and supported anti-transgender legislation.

In addition to allegedly sending selfies, the Daily Mail’s report said Bryon sent women he found in the online fetish community around $25,000 via Cash app and PayPal. One of the women said she knew him as “Jason” and once butt-dialed him, leading to a message for Noem Insurance. Then, she allegedly Googled the name and found photos of Bryon and Kristi.

Per the Daily Mail’s report, national security experts indicated that Bryon’s actions could have left Noem vulnerable to blackmail in her position as the head of DHS. Noem’s tenure in the position ended Tuesday, and she was replaced by Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.).

“The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland,’” said Trump when he announced the switch in early March.

Her departure from the role comes after two U.S. citizens were killed by federal agents this year during the Operation metro Surge immigration crackdown in Minnesota. Kristi received considerable backlash for her response to the killings, and her characterization of the victims as domestic terrorists. She also faced scrutiny of a controversial $220 million advertising campaign that wasn’t approved by the President, the Daily Mail noted.

Regarding Kristi Noem’s marriage, The New York Post said that “big questions have swirled” about it in recent years, particularly rumors of about her relationship with “Trump confidant” Corey Lewandowski, who is also married. Still, the Post said he had been seen by Noem’s side at high-profile events and that they have seemed “cozy.”

The Post said it could not confirm the details of the Daily Mail’s report about Bryon. The Daily Beast reported Tuesday that White House reporter Marc Caputo of Axios “revealed that he had been given a tip last month about Byron Noem’s ‘busty bimbo’ alter ego before the Daily Mail reported,” on it.
