
A Cessna business jet that took off from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas crash landed in Southern California on Saturday morning, killing the six people on board.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office shared that the remains of the six people were recovered at the scene of the crash near French Valley Airport in Murrieta, California.
The FAA shared that the crash occurred approximately 65 miles north of San Diego at around 4:15 a.m. PST on Saturday.
According to Cal Fire, the aircraft went down in a field and caused a fire that burned nearly an acre of vegetation before being contained.
The crash is currently being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA.
