According to a report, the now ex-spouses of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, who sparked a romantic relationship after spending years working together as news partners, are now dating.
Citing sources familiar with the matter, PageSix reported that Marilee Fiebig, Holmes’ ex, and actor Andrew Shue, the ex-partner of Robach, have started dating.
“It turned into something else, and they’re connected over their values. It’s bigger than the affair now,” one source said.
The story is complicated, so let’s straighten it out.
Holmes and Robach, who worked together as the hosts of the ABC talk show “GMA3,” were fired after rumors circulated that they had struck up a romantic relationship while still married.
“[We] lost the jobs we love because we love each other,” Holmes, 46, said on the “Amy & T.J.” podcast.
However, in their new podcast, the pair denies ever cheating on their spouses with each other.
The new couple was fired in November of last year when their relationship went public as they were both finalizing divorces, but that wasn’t the end of the complicated love story.
According to PageSix, Fiebig and Shue have “moved on” from being divorced and instead grown closer themselves. After bonding following their divorce, the duo has reportedly been dating for half a year.
“They’re not heartbroken and sad,” one source said. “Everyone has moved on.”
Still, Holmes and Robach maintain that their relationship never overlapped with their former partners.
“To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case,” Robach claimed in the podcast.
