Everybody makes mistakes, but when it’s done at work sometimes it can come with consequences. That’s what one Texas baker thought was coming her way when she read a request incorrectly and mistakenly made a customer the wrong cake. Luckily, the internet liked her “fail” so much that it may end up helping her career. The baker went viral recently after making an “emo cake” when the customer asked for an “Elmo cake.”
Brianna Romero of El Paso recently took to social media to share with the internet a hilarious mistake she made while making a cake for a customer. According to NBC DFW, Romero got a request that she thought asked for an “emo cake,” but after doing some digging she realized she may have made a mistake less than one hour before the cake was set to be delivered. “I scroll back, I misread emo and it says ‘Elmo cake,’” Romero said in her now viral post.
Luckily, she was about to rectify the issue, going to the store to get an Elmo cake topper, and even gave the customer the cake for free. Of course, the internet wanted to see what an Emo Elmo cake may look like, so she later gave her best interpretation of Emo Elmo and shared it online. After seeing her work, Romero can expect plenty to be requesting her emo cakes in the future.
