With only ten days left until Christmas, if you haven't started already you better get to steppin' on shopping for presents for your loved one.
If you want to have a happy, and more importantly a safe holiday this year, you might want to avoid getting your kids one specific gift: a non-motorized scooter.
We're talking the ones like Razor makes, which have caused over 190,000 injuries since 2016, and that includes injuries to both kids and adults.
According to Value Penguin, the ten most dangerous toys you can purchase include:
1 - Non-motorized scooters
2 - Balls, other or not specified
3 - Toy vehicles (excluding riding toys)
4 - Building sets
5 - Flying discs and boomerangs
6 - Games or game parts (excluding marbles and computer games)
7 - Dolls, plush toys and action figures
8 - Toy boxes or chests
9 - Tricycles
10 - Balloons
And believe it or not, boys and men were more likely to injure themselves than girls and women while riding the scooters. Between 2016 and 2020, boys and men sustained 47,187 more toy-related injuries in this category than girls and women.
