During an interview on Sunday, former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on California and the state’s governor, Gavin Newsom, saying he is “so much bulls—.”

Trump was asked on the show “Sunday Morning Futures” how he would do in a hypothetical matchup for the presidency against the Democratic governor, as Trump has recently said he has doubts about Biden facing off against him again.

When asked who he thought might run for the Democrats if Biden decides to step down, Trump said he didn’t know, but when Newsom’s name came up, he seemed to have several opinions.

“I’ll tell you what…he’s [Newsom] so much bulls—. He wants to say how wonderful… it’s doing horribly. His state is doing horribly,” Trump said. “You look at the homeless problem. You look at the people that are leaving. You have companies that are leaving. They are all leaving for other locations.”

He went on to say that a matchup against Newsom would be “easy” because “California is a disaster,” and he thinks he is a “horrible governor.”

While Newsom has denied that he would run in 2024 for the White House, claiming last month that he would “go to the ends of the Earth” for Biden, speculation remains.

However, that hasn’t stopped him from criticizing Trump, sharing last week that he was “damaged goods.”

“He can’t be beaten in a primary, but in a general election, a general election, I think he’s the most flawed candidate in my lifetime,” Newsom told MSNBC.

“He is not as entertaining as he once was. He’s more unhinged than he ever was, more extreme, obviously more dangerous across the spectrum of issues.”
