CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- United is facing safety concerns after five major equipment incidents this week, three of which happened in the past two days.

United Airlines flight was forced to return to O'Hare Airport with a maintenance issue Saturday at 11 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

That's the fifth incident this week for the Chicago- based airline. Five crew members and 149 passengers were on board an Airbus 320 to Salt Lake City when an oil warning light came on.

Two incidents happened on Friday. A United Airlines flight departing from San Francisco was forced to make an emergency landing due to problems with the aircraft's hydraulic system.

And a flight from Memphis veered off the runway on Thursday. A United flight out of San Francisco lost a tire as it was taking off for a flight to Japan and on Monday, the engine of a flight bound for Fort Myers, Florida caught on fire.

No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
