Like the Canadian wildfires, could L.A. smoke come here?

Could we have hazy skies due to the wildfires?

Just last summer, smoke from Canadian wildfires caused the DEP to issue a Code Red advisory because of poor air quality in Allegheny and surrounding counties.

AccuWeather's Jonathan Porter says, due to the time of year, the LA fires aren't likely to affect the air you breathe.

“It’s not, in this situation, you know that’s typically more of a summer type of atmosphere setup that we have to be concerned about that,” he said.

He also says the biggest threat for local wildfires is during the spring and fall, with drier vegetation and lengthy stretches without rain.
