The woman responsible for opening fire inside a Houston megachurch on Sunday afternoon has been identified by authorities, who also shared that she used an assault-style-type rifle with “Free Palestine” written on it.

Ivonne Moreno, 36, was identified as the shooter by Houston police, the Houston Chronicle reported. She is believed to have entered Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church with a 5-year-old boy at around 2 p.m. on Sunday.

While inside the church, Moreno wore a trench coat and backpack and carried an assault-style weapon that had “Free Palestine written on it, ABC News reported.

During the chaos, the young boy and 57-year-old man were both hit, and the young child is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.

It has not been made clear who shot the child.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner shared during a news conference Sunday that Moreno was shot and killed by law enforcement officers who confronted her at the church.

Present when the shooting started were two off-duty officers working security. One is an officer with the Houston Police Department, and the other is an agent with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

A motive for the shooting is not yet known, and the investigation remains active.
