An elderly woman was severely injured after she was run over by a car in the parking garage of an Atlanta area hospital on Tuesday morning, local authorities reported.
The victim allegedly got into an argument with another woman when she was pushed inside the parking garage, putting her in the path of the car that hit her, Atlanta police told WSBTV.
The Atlanta Fire Department responded to the accident at around 10 a.m., and when crews arrived, they found the victim underneath a car, trapped.
In order to get the woman out from under the vehicle, firefighters reportedly used a jack to lift the car.
After being removed, she was taken to the hospital, unconscious and not breathing, WSBTV reported. The victim's identity has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with an ongoing investigation. Officers also reported detaining another woman who was there.
