The 49% equates to 8.5 million individuals who have received their first shot as of May 1.

The number of 8.5 million vaccines administered ranks 5th across the country.

As of May 1, almost 3.5 million citizens of Pennsylvania have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
