Pride Month kicks off in Pittsburgh with the 2021 Pittsburgh Pride Revolution March Saturday afternoon in Downtown Pittsburgh.

The march was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has made its long awaited return.

More than just a parade, the event will last until 6:00 p.m. with extra activated for participants to take part in.

Food trucks and music performances will take place, then the events continue into Sunday.

Organizers want everyone to bring signs, music, flags, and a mask.

This is the first Pride event in Pittsburgh that is a collaboration with multiple LGBTQ+ groups in the area.

Pittsburgh Penguins president of hockey operations Brian Burke has frequented pride parades in his former teams’ cities, and Pittsburgh is no different.

Burke and Penguins mascot Iceburgh are downtown participating in the events.
