Pittsburgh ranked in top 20 cities to celebrate Easter

PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Easter Sunday is right around the corner and despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is still expected that Americans will spend $21.6 billion on the holiday.

Personal finance website WalletHub ranked the best cities across the country to celebrate Easter in, and Pittsburgh landed 20th on their list.

WalletHub used multiple factors regarding common Easter celebrations, like church going, chocolate and candy consumption, and flowers.

Pittsburgh finished 7th in churches per capita, and 4th in percentage of Christian population.

Easter is the most popular church day in America, ahead of the No. 2 Christmas Eve and No. 3 Mother’s Day.

When it comes to candy and flowers, Pittsburgh finished 4th in candy/chocolate stores per capita, and 6th in flower/gift shops per capita.

Over 91million chocolate bunnies are sold in America every year according to WalletHub.
