Lawmakers in the Pennsylvania House voted on party lines Tuesday to end Governor Tom Wolf's disaster emergency declaration. It goes next to the Senate. On the News Radio KDKA Morning Show, Pittsburgh-area Senator Jay Costa says this action has consequences.
"For example, one thing that I've cited quite a bit was telemedicine", Costa says. "So many folks have been experiencing and receiving healthcare through the telemedicine programming. That ends once this declaration is adopted later today in the Senate."
Costa says because it was abruptly ended, some of the things like booting people out for being behind on the rent, might take effect sooner than later.
Pennsylvania's pandemic restrictions and orders expire at the end of the month.
