Fundraiser started to support family of fallen PA State Trooper

A fundraiser has been started to help support the family of a fallen Pennsylvania State Trooper that was killed in the line of duty earlier this week.

Corporal Timothy O’Connor Jr. was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop in West Caln Township, Chester County.

The 40-year-old Trooper pulled over an erratic driver late Sunday night when he was fatally shot by the man inside the vehicle as O’Connor approached.

To help the family of Trooper O’Connor, The Pennsylvania State Troopers Association has started a fundraiser on the Help A Hero website.

“The law enforcement community stands united in mourning this loss and in supporting the family he leaves behind,” the association write on Help a Hero. “Any donation to the family will be deeply appreciated.”

O’Connor leaves behind a wife and a young daughter.

Corporal O’Connor’s funeral will be held next Wednesday, March 18 in Downingtown, PA.
