A group of state representatives announced a new conference to bring Democrats and Republicans together.

The Pennsylvania House Bipartisan Caucus unveiled their Meet Me in the Middle initiative.

They're hoping it will give constituents a place to speak to elected leaders without having concern for partisan ties.

Stephen Kinsey is one of the State Reps leading the effort.

“Folks want to know that their elected officials are listening to what they have to say,” said Kinsey. “Folks want their elected officials to get work done and move Pennsylvania forward.”

Those in the caucus said with Democrats holding only a one-seat majority in the state house, bipartisanship is key to progress.
