Legislation is making its way through Harrisburg in an effort to lower the minimum age for a learner's driving permit to 15 years old.
Pennsylvania is one of nine states requiring young people to wait until they are 16 to do that currently.
41 states allow drivers on the road at 15, and some of them even let driving begin at 14 years of age.

Under their proposal, young drivers would be required to undergo six months of training before being able to obtain a driver’s license.
