October was lucky month for local lottery players.
According to the Pennsylvania lottery a man in Westmoreland County won $500,000 on a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket scratch-off.
Two won $250,000 on scratch-offs in Westmoreland County. Two in Allegheny County won $150,000 on the Monopoly 100X game and another in Allegheny won $100,000 on the Jack-O-Lantern Jackpot game.
Several other players won jackpots between $50,000 and $1,000 last month locally.
A spokesperson for the PA Lottery tells the Tribune Review that the large group of local winners is a conscience and "chances of winning are not influence by where a ticket is sold."
Scratch-off tickets in Pennsylvania range in prizes from a free ticket to $3 million.
The Lottery says that $192,208,912 in prizes was won across the state on scratch-off tickets this past month.
