The logo for the newly created Pennsylvania Western University has been revealed.
In a video on Cal U's social media accounts, interim president Dr. Dale-Elizabeth Pehrsson said the logo was picked by the students.
“The students have spoken, nearly 5,000 of them and we have a clear winner for Pennsylvania Western University.
PennWest University will launch in July 2022 pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The logo will not be used in marketing or advertising until that happens.
"We are sharing this information with our current students to help them better understand our integration plans," Vice President of Communications and Marketing for Cal U Christine Kindl told KDKA Radio.
The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education voted earlier this year to combine California, Clairon and Edinboro Universities.
They also added PennWest Global.
