Check your mailbox. The second round of Pennsylvania Money Match checks have hit Pennsylvanians mailboxes.
Pennsylvania Money Match is a program that allows Treasury to return certain unclaimed property to rightful owners automatically, which was approved unanimously by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor last year.
State Treasurer Stacy Garrity says this latest batch of checks total more than $9.2 million.
“It can be balance of an old checking account or and a saving account, an uncashed paycheck, an insurance policy, stocks, bonds, rebates and so much more,” said Garrity.
She adds its important that people cash these checks.
“We want everyone to know this is a real program, this is real money and it belongs to you,” added Garrity.
The next batch goes out in August.
