Interstate I-80 in Clarion County is expected to open later on Monday after a large multi-vehicle accident and, there's a new detour thanks to a tree that fell on the original detour.
The interstate has been closed between the Clarion/New Bethlehem and Sigel/Brookville exits due to a multi-vehicle accident involving at least 20 vehicles.
The crash occurred around 1 p.m. Monday and is believed to be weather related as snow moved through the area.
Several people were reportedly injured and taken to hospitals in the area.
PennDOT is telling drivers to get off the highway at Shippenville, take Route 66 to Route 322 East and get back on I-80 at Strattanville.
