PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Congressman Guy Reschenthaler said Thursday Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro will not investigate the commonwealth's nursing home data, but the Pennsylvania House of Representatives will.

"The numbers don't add up," Reschenthaler said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show. "Remember there was about 12,000 nursing home deaths in Pennsylvania. That number is incredibly high. Why is that? Because Wolf and Levine made an atrocious decision to mandate that Covid patients, meaning people that had Covid, be admitted into nursing homes."

Former Pennsylvania Sec. of Health Dr. Rachel Levine took her mother out of a nursing home before the mandate went into effect, and put her into a hotel.

Reschenthaler also said there were discrepancies in the reporting numbers from the nursing homes to what the state was releasing.

"The public was lied to. We were misled and elite took care of their own family and let the rest of our families suffer with Covid deaths in nursing homes. The decision they made cost peoples lives.
