Where's the snow? Record February in the books

A record setting February is in the books.

Only two-tenths of an inch of snow for the month recorded at the Weather Service office in Moon.

The old record of six-tenths of an inch was set in 1909.

In terms of snow for the season, Pittsburgh averages 35 inches but, through last month, less than half that amount has come down, just 14.5 inches.

It was also a warmer February.

The high hit 70 or higher on February 9, 15 and 23.

The average high temperature was 51 and an average low of 28.4.
